Focal Point Plantation Drive initiated by Manjit S. Khalsa, Chairman and others including Kulvinder S. Benipal, Rajesh Kalra, Joga Singh and Gurcharan Singh.
Ludhiana, March 14, 2013: Focal Point Welfare Association, Khalsa Road, Ludhianaorganised today a Green Drive whereby all the members of the association took part in the plantation drive.
A total 500 saplings were planted in the Focal Point Phase 7 area where the association is based.
It is to be mentioned here that all the saplings planted, will be taken care of by the factory owners in whose area and vicinity the saplings have been planted.
The today’s drive undertaken by the association was headed by Manjit S. Khalsa, Chairman. Among others, Kulvinder S. Benipal, President and Rajesh Kalra, Chief Patron, Joga Singh and Gurcharan Singh alongwith other members were also present.
Khalsa emphasised that a cleaner, greener Ludhiana is very important in the Industrial city of Ludhiana whereby maximum plantation should be undertaken by the industry to overcome the menace of global warming.
He said that they have to give a better future and cleaner environment to the coming generations for which steps should be taken now.
The association has already developed a park and is already maintaining a big green belt which is solely with the contribution of all members of the association.
