DC and CP direct officials to strictly enforce new directions issued by CM in Ludhiana
Ludhiana: The Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Rakesh Agrawal on Tuesday urged the people of the Ludhiana to adhere to the Covid precautions including masking, social distancing and washing hand frequently to contain the spread of the Covid cases.
In a meeting with the officials from various departments at Bachat Bhawan, they said that the district has witnessed uptick in the Covid cases and told them to the ensure the strict enforcement of the guidelines issued by Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh regarding restriction on indoor gathering to 100 and outdoor to 200 persons from March 1 in the state.
They further asked the officials to intensify the awareness drive about the precautions and protocols to keep the Covid at bay in the district.
They appealed the people to be alert and vigilant about the symptoms of the Covid and undergo the test immediately so that it does not spread further and the positive cases can be quarantined at the earliest.
They said that the residents of Ludhiana had played their role effectively in containing the Covid successfully by adhering to Covid protocols earlier and now when the cases have been started surging again, the people have to ensure their fully support to the administration.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Rakesh Agrawal said that administration is fully geared up for meeting the new challenge and guidelines of the Chief Minister would be implemented in true letter and spirit to win the war against the Covid.
