Food Supply teams check filling stations
The main objective of the inspection was to check basic facilities for consumers
Ludhiana: On the directions of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, the teams of the Food and Civil Supplies department on Saturday inspected various filling stations (petrol pumps) in the city.
Divulging the details, District Food and Supply Controller Sukhwinder Singh Gill said that the main objective of the inspection was to check basic facilities for consumers such as clean toilets, drinking water and free air refilling besides the quality and quantity of fuel was also examined.
He said that some petrol pumps where cleanliness was not maintained, have been told to comply with the directions immediately.
Gill said added the drive would continue in the coming days too and action would be against the erring stations.
