Food Technology magazine “Jeevanam-2022 pertaining to life” released and an expert talk held at Dr.SSBUICET
Dr SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology released its first food technology inhouse magazine “Jeevanam” 2022.
Chandigarh, November 25, 2022: Dr SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology released its first food technology inhouse magazine “Jeevanam” 2022. The magazine was released by the chief guest Rajnish Tuli, General Manager, Punjab Agro Industries Corporation and Department of Food Processing Punjab, Prof Amrit Pal Toor, Chairperson, Prof Anupama Thakur, Coordinator Food Technology and the faculty members. The articles in the magazine ranged from home bakeries to applications of nanotechnology in food industries authored by students of the department.
An expert talk on “Initiatives by GoI on Promotion of Food Processing Industries” was delivered by Rajnish Tuli, an alumunus of 1985 batch of Dr SSBUICET, who talked on Mega Food Park Model and Schemes by GoI for promoting Start-Ups. He deliberated on the facilities available at mega food park and motivated the students to involve in the Start-Up ventures. The event was attended by around 200 students and faculty members. Winners of poster and quiz competition held for BE (Food Tech) students of third and final year were also felicitated by the chief guest with certificates of excellence.
