Ludhiana, August 6, 2015: Federation of Punjab Small Industries Associations (FOPSIA) fully support the strike of District Bar Association on the issue of VAT refunds, said the FOPSIA president Badish Jindal.
In a statement here today, he added the industry is suffering a lot due to delay in VAT refunds and it is totally illegal that assesses were refused to issue the VAT refunds even after the verification and issuance of refund orders the assesses were refused to issue the VAT refunds.
He added the industry is facing a huge financial crunch due to delays and its getting hard for the industrialists to run their units under such circumstances.
The attitude of the VAT officials is also very arrogant and due to delay in VAT refunds the corruption is increasing in issuance of refunds, he said, adding, the Mobile Wing of Excise & Taxation department also misbehaves with the assesses, and even putting the penalties on the very genuine dispatches.
“We fully support District Bar Association for this strike and in case of delay in decision, FOPSIA will also join the hunger strike”, he announced.
