Jalandhar, July 9, 2022: Manoranjan Kalia Former State President BJP and Former Minister Punjab in a statement said that the formation of advisory body on the public administration is against the Constitution of India and its spirit.
He added that the Chief Secretary in a State is the head of the administration which is being run by IAS & PCS Officers in hierarchy. The administrative steel-frame of the Government is time-tested and has been running administration successfully since independence & needs no temporary & ad-hock set up to advise.
Adding, he said there has been a practice of appointing advisors to the Chief Minister but not to the Government, that too on public administration. There are instances of accepting Re. 1 as salary for the post of Chief Ministership. It is mind boggling that the Chairman and members of the Committee will not be entitled to any compensation because there is no free lunch.
Further, he said it is a second attempt to siphon out the powers of the Government. The earlier one is a knowledge sharing agreement signed by Delhi Government and Punjab Government. Thus the Aam Aadmi Party is openly admitting that Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Chief Minister being the head of the Government is incapable of running the Government and the party itself is decimating the position of its own Chief Minister.
Kalia appealed to the Governor of Punjab to intervene and direct the Punjab Government to nullify the unconstitutional Act of out sourcing the powers of Chief Minister.
