Rohtak, January 27, 2024: Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has accused BJP of breaking its promise with HKRN workers. He said; before the elections, BJP had announced to make 1.25 lakh temporary workers permanent, and now it has started removing them from posts.

“BJP took votes in the elections by lying to the workers of Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam (HKRN) and cheated them after the elections. As soon as it won the elections, BJP has started removing them from the job,” Hooda said after a delegation of HKRN workers working in the irrigation department handed over a memorandum to the former CM, demanding to raise their issue in the assembly. Hooda assured to raise their demands on every platform including the assembly.

He said that before the elections, BJP used to talk about making all the employees working under HKRN permanent, now it is only making those employees who have been working for 5 years permanent. “The High Court has not only reprimanded the government for this policy, but has also imposed a fine,” he said.

“It is clear that BJP had made big promises and claims only to gain electoral benefits. After forming the government, it had nothing to do with its promises. Implementing its well-known policy, BJP has started snatching jobs from the youth. Skilled workers are constantly being thrown out of jobs. Instead of fulfilling the promise of giving 2 lakh permanent jobs, BJP is snatching jobs from the youth” Hooda said.

Hooda had arrived today as the chief guest in the brotherhood program held in Village Madina (Meham). Local MLA Balram Dangi and former MLA Anand Singh Dagi were also present. Earlier, on the occasion of Republic Day, Hooda extended heartfelt greetings to all the countrymen and the people of the state.
