Rohtak, September 23, 2024: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that 2 lakh permanent recruitments will be done in the state only on the basis of merit and paper when Congress government is formed in Haryana. He also assured that Congress is committed to eliminate paper leak and recruitment mafia.
Earlier, BJP Mahila Morcha state vice president Neena Rathi and Kisan Morcha state vice president Satpal Rathi joined Congress under the leadership of Former CM Hooda and Congress state president Udaibhan. Hooda and Udaibhan welcomed both the leaders into the Congress and assured them of full respect in the party.
Speaking to media persons in Rohtak, Hooda said BJP is resorting to lies in the panic of impending defeat. “To deceive the unemployed youth, BJP is now talking about giving 25,000 jobs. Whereas for the entire 5 years, this government itself kept the recruitments hanging. BJP confused the youth sometimes in the name of paper leak, sometimes in the name of CET, sometimes in the name of only 4 times of CET and sometimes in the name of socio-economic marks,” he stated.
“BJP only gave date after date to the youth, but Congress will give them joining after joining. All the recruitments will be done on the basis of complete transparency, recruitment rules and the fixed calendar without any delay,” he promised.
Hooda said BJP itself is accepting the failure of its government, which is why it never even mentions its 9 and a half years of tenure and the former Chief Minister. “Congress, even while being in the opposition, is asking for votes in the name of its work,” he stated.
“The Congress government built a central university in Mahendragarh, 12 universities in the entire state, 154 new polytechnic colleges, 45 government colleges, 56 new ITI, 4 new government engineering colleges, 36 Aarohi schools, dozens of model and Sanskriti model schools. 6 new medical colleges including Mewat, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Karnal, Rohtak, Gohana and 1 new health university were built,” he stated.
The former Chief Minister said National Cancer Institute and AIIMS-2 Badhsa were built during the Congress government. Apart from building Rajiv Gandhi Education Society and National Law University in the name of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, countless works were done. “Despite this, during the Congress government, the state had a debt of only Rs 70,000 crores, but the BJP government put a debt of four and a half lakh crores on the state without doing any work,” he pointed out.
Hooda said BJP neither has any past work worth showing, nor any roadmap for the future. “This is why BJP has prepared its manifesto by copying the guarantees of Congress,” he stated.
Hooda said Congress will fulfill every promise. “Every promise like pension of Rs. 6000 to the elderly, 2 lakh permanent jobs to the youth, OPS to the employees, honorarium of Rs. 2000 per month to women will be implemented,” he stated.
Responding to a question about the increasing drug addiction, the former Chief Minister said that earlier no one in Haryana even knew the name of ‘Chitta’, but the drug addiction has reached every street under the patronage of BJP. “This government has ruined the farmers and youth of the state,” he stated.
