Rohtak, October 6, 2024: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda said there will be a lot of work in the state as soon as Congress government is formed, and the Congress would start implementing its election manifesto.

Answering questions from journalists about the implementation of the manifesto in Rohtak, Hooda said a campaign to implement the manifesto will be started as soon as the Congress government is formed.

Earlier, a delegation of the Rice Millers and Dealers Association sitting on strike reached to meet Hooda. Hooda said their demands will be resolved after the Congress government is formed. “At present, they should take a decision keeping in mind the farmers' interests and empathize with them. Farmers are continuously reaching the markets with paddy and are worried due to non-purchase. Rice millers said that they will soon hold a meeting and take a decision in this regard,” Hooda said.

Talking to the journalists, Hooda said the Congress government is going to be formed in the state with a huge majority. “Exit polls may have come after the voting, but the public had already made up its mind and we had an inkling of this,” he stated.

Hooda expressed gratitude to all the voters of Haryana. He said overall, the voting was conducted peacefully in the state and the public voted with their discretion.

Answering the question asked on election issues, he said BJP did not have any issue, because it neither built any big university in the state, nor established any medical college, nor increased a single unit of electricity, nor brought any new institute or big industry to Haryana, neither the metro line was extended nor any new railway line was laid during its 10 years in power.

“During the Congress regime, Haryana was number one in every parameter of per capita income, per capita investment, employment, respect for sportspersons and development. BJP made it number one in unemployment, crime, drugs, inflation and atrocities,” he said.

“Criminals and miscreants are committing crimes fearlessly. It seems as if there is no government in the state. The situation will change when the Congress government is formed. We will not allow crime and drugs to exist in Haryana,” he promised.
