Former CM Hooda files nomination from Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi, asks people to be cautious of ‘vote-cutters’

Rohtak, September 11, 2024: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupindfer Singh Hooda has said there is a direct contest between Congress and BJP in the assembly elections, in which Congress will win with a big majority. Seeing its defeat, BJP is fielding a large number of vote cutter candidates and parties in the elections.

Hooda, who filed his nomination as a Congress candidate from Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi on Wednesday, said all the vote cutters are giving tickets at the behest of BJP, therefore, the people of Haryana have to be cautious of these vote cutters. “Every vote given to them will go to BJP's account,” he stated.

Addressing the huge crowd gathered on this occasion, he appealed for votes. He also asked the people for permission to run a campaign in the whole of Haryana. Thousands of people passed his proposal by raising their hands. People urged Hooda to take care of the rest of Haryana, the people of Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi will fight your election themselves, and assured him that Congress will win this constituency with the highest number of votes in the state.

In his address, Hooda said last time BJP had fielded JJP in the elections to cut Congress' votes, and the JJP betrayed the people by winning 10 seats. “This time also, many parties like JJP and INLD are playing in the hands of BJP. Their aim is to benefit BJP by dividing Congress votes. Therefore, we have to understand their reality in time and explain it to the whole of Haryana. This time, no one can save BJP from a crushing defeat. Today, only one slogan is echoing in the whole of Haryana- Congress is coming, BJP is going,” he stated.

“The people of this area have always blessed me. The people have never let me be stabbed in the back. Therefore, I have always stood up to challenges with my chest firm. When Congress gave me the opportunity to run the government for 10 years, Haryana was made the number one state of the country in per capita income, per capita investment, employment, law and order, respect for sportspersons, elderly and farmers,” he stated.

“But in 10 years, BJP has made this prosperous state number one in unemployment, inflation, crime, drugs and atrocities on Dalits. Now at this age, I want to fight a do-or-die battle, not for myself, but for the people and want to make this state number one in prosperity once again. Hope you all will definitely support and bless us,” he said.

Hooda said the Congress manifesto will be released soon. “When the Congress government is formed, works like pension of Rs 6,000 to the elderly, LPG cylinder for Rs 500, 300 units of free electricity, free treatment of the poor, OPS to the employees, 2 lakh permanent recruitments and making temporary employees permanent will be done,” he assured.

Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda said it was a matter of pride for us that Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi is being represented by a leader whose name even BJP leaders chant day and night. “Big BJP leaders are not able to show any of their work despite being in power for 10 years. They just keep chanting the name of Hooda sahab from morning to evening,” he stated.

“It was because during the Congress tenure, the state became number one in development, prosperity and progress. No class had to protest. If someone had to protest, then their problem was solved by listening to them. Every section was respected and peace was maintained in the state,” he said, recalling the rapid progress made by the state in the 10-year Congress rule in the state.

“While being in the opposition for 10 years, Bhupendra Singh Hooda was repeatedly targeted, many conspiracies were hatched, but he never took a step back, never heard a word of trouble from his mouth. There was only one pain in his heart that in 10 years, BJP brought Haryana down from the track of progress,” he stated.

Deepender said the whole country was today looking towards Haryana. “You made Bhupendra Singh Hooda win from Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi with the highest number of votes in Haryana in 2014 and 2019. This time Bhupendra Singh Hooda should win with the highest number of votes in the entire country. Along with this, another resolution has to be taken that by helping the Congress candidates in the areas around Sampla, Congress government has to be formed with a huge majority,” he added.

In his address, Sonipat MP Pandit Satpal Brahmachari said this time a record has to be made from Sampla that 99 percent of the total votes cast should go to Former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda. Congress candidate from Ganaur and former speaker Kuldeep Sharma called upon all communities to unite and form a strong Congress government so that Haryana can again become the number one state in the country.

During this, the state-level Numberdar Association and the Zila Parishad Association of Haryana extended their full support to the Congress. Along with this, the RSS state convenor Satyawan Satte, Block Samiti Chairman Sampla Tinu Khatri, Up-Pradhan Sunil, Block Samiti Chairman Rohtak Sunil Bhole, Nahna Sarpanch from Garhi Sampla, Sampla Anaaj Mandi Pradhan Sandeep Makkar, former Sarpanch from Roorkee Suryaprakash Hooda, former President of Gaud Sanstha Azad Atri and hundreds of others joined the Congress. The former Chief Minister said all the leaders joining the Congress will be given full respect and place in the party.
