Fortis Hospital Kalyan hosts awareness camp for senior citizens on heart & bone health

Dombivli, December 15, 2024: Fortis Hospital Kalyan in association with the Rotary Club of Dombivli and Samanvaya Senior Citizens Association, conducted a health awareness camp focusing on heart and bone health for the elderly. The session was attended by more than 150 enthusiastic participants, at Rotary Club, Dombivli. Medical professionals Dr. Vivek Mahajan, Consultant-Interventional Cardiology, and Dr. Swapnil Keny, Consultant-Orthopaedics, both from Fortis Hospital Kalyan, led the camp with insightful sessions about preservation of heart health and bone health, identifying the early symptoms along with a preventive approach.
 
Dr. Keny emphasized the importance of a balanced diet and regular exercise in maintaining bone density in a healthy state and reduce the chances of Osteoporosis & fractures. Dr. Mahajan shed light on common heart health problems faced by the elderly, early warning signs such as shortness of breath or chest pain, and lifestyle changes to keep the cardiovascular system fit. The audience was highly interactive, thoroughly appreciating the practical tips that were shared, and engaged in an insightful Q&A session with the experts.
