Fortis Ludhiana Blood Centre organizes blood donation camp in association with Parivartan Blood Seva Youth Club, Sahnewal

Fortis Ludhiana Blood Centre in association with Parivartan Blood Seva Youth Club organized an indoor blood donation camp at the Blood Centre, Sahnewal on 17th October. Around 80-100 volunteers participated and donated blood at the camp. Dr. Heenakshi Shyamlal Sharma, Head of Blood Centre, Fortis Ludhiana Hospital, attended the camp along with Dr. Vishavdeep Goyal, Zonal Head, Fortis Ludhiana, and Amritsar.

Ludhiana, October 17, 2023: Fortis Ludhiana Blood Centre in association with Parivartan Blood Seva Youth Club organized an indoor blood donation camp at the Blood Centre, Sahnewal on 17th October. Around 80-100 volunteers participated and donated blood at the camp. Dr. Heenakshi Shyamlal Sharma, Head of Blood Centre, Fortis Ludhiana Hospital, attended the camp along with Dr. Vishavdeep Goyal, Zonal Head, Fortis Ludhiana, and Amritsar.

The Punjab State Blood Transfusion Council launched this campaign in an effort to reach the target of 10,000 blood donations in this mega-voluntary blood donation campaign.

Dr. Heenakshi Shyamlal Sharma, Head of Blood Centre, Fortis Ludhiana Hospital said, "As doctors in Punjab, we see firsthand how vital blood donations are in our healthcare system. Blood is always needed, and blood donors' generosity cannot be emphasized. You can prevent a blood shortage in Punjab at all times by giving blood. By doing so, you become a silent hero.”
