Ludhiana, August 3, 2024: Fortis Hospital Chandigarh Road and Mall Road, Ludhiana, celebrated World Breastfeeding Week with a series of activities designed to highlight the importance of breastfeeding for mothers and their newborns.

Approximately 25 mothers with their newborns were invited to participate in a series of activities, including fun games and engaging educational sessions. Dr. Gaurav Mittal, Dr. Shivani Grewal, Dr. Gursimran Kaur, and Dr. Shivani Kaur provided valuable insights into newborn care and breastfeeding. The celebrations concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony.

Talking about the importance of breastfeeding, Dr. Gaurav Mittal, Sr. Consultant Pediatrics and Neonatology, said, “Breastfeeding is the foundation of a child's healthy development. It provides essential nutrients and antibodies, boosting the infant's immune system and reducing the risk of infections.
