Forum for Sustainable Ludhiana; DC holds deliberations with former NGT chairman & experts
DC Sakshi Sawhney today brought together experts from various sectors to discuss replicable environmental best practices in Ludhiana district as part of the “Wake Up Ludhiana” campaign. The idea is to bring in experts who have worked extensively in the field of environment and who voluntarily want to contribute to the sustainability campaign in Ludhiana.

Ludhiana, July 4, 2024: DC Sakshi Sawhney today brought together experts from various sectors to discuss replicable environmental best practices in Ludhiana district as part of the “Wake Up Ludhiana” campaign. The idea is to bring in experts who have worked extensively in the field of environment and who voluntarily want to contribute to the sustainability campaign in Ludhiana.
The discussion today revolved around institutionalisation of the platform and also around mobilising Ludhiana for green/carbon/water credits and the way forward.
The deliberations are expected to be constructive, positive and outcome based with monitorable and actionable goals.
Experts who have volunteered include former NGT chairman Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel, PPCB retd member secretary Babu Ram, Amit Dhawan from Vardhmaan Special Steels, Anoop Goyal, MC Additional Commissioner Paramdeep Singh, XEN PPCB Kamaldeep Kaur and others.
