Ludhiana, October 31, 2019: The foundation stone of construction of 8.275 Km long approach road from Chandigarh-Ludhiana (NH-5) to Hi-tech Cycle Valley Dhanansu amounting to Rs.31.37 crores, was laid by Mr Manpreet Singh Badal, Finance Minister, Punjab and Mr.Sundar Shyam Arora, Minister, Industries & Commerce, Punjab, today.
While speaking to media persons on the occasion, Mr Sunder Sham Arora informed that the Industrial city Ludhiana will soon have the first of its kind hi-tech cycle valley, in its vicinity at village Dhanansu in 380 acres with an investment of around Rs. 300 crores which will attract new industries not only from India but also abroad. Besides this, it will provide alternative business activities to the existing units running in the residential areas of Ludhiana city.
This project which is being taken up by Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation. Cycle valley to script a new chapter in furtherance of business progress of Ludhiana Project will attract an estimated investment of Rs. 1500 crores.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mr Gurpreet Singh Bassi, Chairman PSIEC, Mr Pawan Dewan, Chairman, PLIDB, Mr KK Bawa, Chairman, PSIDC, Mrs Vini Mahajan IAS, ACS(I&C), Punjab, Mr. C Sibin IAS, MD PSIEC, Mr. Pardeep Aggarwal IAS, DC Ludhiana, Senior Congress leader Mrs Satwinder Kaur Bitti, Mr. R S Bains, Chief Engineer, PSIEC, Mr. Amarjit Singh Bains, SDM Ludhiana(East), Mr. Dharminder Bassi, Executive Engineer, PSIEC, Mr. Amanpreet Singh, SDO PSIEC, Mr. Pankaj Munjal, Chairman Hero Cycles, Mr. S K Rai, Vice Chairman Hero Cycles were also present.
