There is no dearth of funds for spreading the light of education, he said adding that government would release additional funds as and when required for progress of this university.

Hooda said that development is being taken place in the entire world and Haryana is also witnessing rapid progress during last about nine years. But in this race of development, only those states or nations would remain in the forefront that would lead in education sector. He urged the people to lay emphasis on education of their wards only then the state could lead in all spheres in real terms.

He said that after taking over the reign of administration nine years ago with the support of people; he started his journey with a vision to make the state an education hub. He claimed that universities and institutes which are coming in the state have clearly reflected that Haryana would become Education Hub of international standard in coming four to five years. This would lead to progress of our future generation. The aim of setting up these educational institutes would become reality when our future generation attains qualitative education as per the world standards, he added.

Hooda said that the university has been named after Ch. Ranbir Singh

not because he was his father but as he is proud of the fact that Ch. Ranbir Singh had completed his graduation about 70 years back, however he chose to serve the nation by joining freedom struggle rather than serve the British government. He was sent behind bars eight times and was the last person released from jail by Britishers. The project of Bhakhra dam was initiated with the signature of Ch. Chotu Ram but its construction work was completed during Ch. Ranbir Singh tenure as Minister.

While leveling the allegation of bias on Jind by INLD-BJP government, Hooda said that opposition ruled the state for about six years.  He said, “I have no habit of criticizing anyone but we all are well aware about the situation at that time”. The Chief Minister said that present government had incurred a sum of over Rs. 3103.61 crore on overall development of district Jind whereas INLD-BJP had spent merely Rs.625.25 crore during their regime.  This development is still continuing and would accelerate in future, he added.

Hooda also highlighted various schemes and programmes being implemented in the state for benefit of all including farmers, students, senior citizens, scheduled castes and poor. He said that recently state government has abolished INLD government decision as per which stamp duty was charged for transfer of property within family members. “We are providing electricity at the rate of 10 paisa per unit to farmers

and  same is Rs.1.30 per unit in neighbouring state of Rajasthan and Rs.3.71 per unit in Madhya Pradesh”.  Similarly, diesel price is Rs.five higher in Rajasthan as compared to Haryana. The States of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are charging Rs. eight and Rs. Nine more for diesel prices, he added.
