Ludhiana, October 16, 2024: Founder’s day of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine was celebrated recently by Society of Critical Care Medicine , Ludhiana branch at civil hospital, Ludhiana.
On the occasion, Dr Gunchan Paul, Professor, Department of Critical Care Medicine, DMC&H and Chairperson, Ludhiana chapter of ISCCM and Dr Shruti Sharma, Associate Professor, Critical Care Medicine, DMC&H and Secretary, Ludhiana Chapter of ISCCM organized ‘Perceptorship Program’ sharing important aspects about Critical Care Medicine with the participants.
Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society and Dr G S Wander, Principal DMC&H lauded the efforts of both faculty members to conduct this event and they highlighted that Department of Critical Care Medicine at DMC&H has state of art facilities to provide the medical care facilities for critical ill patients.
Giving information about the event Dr Gunchan Paul said that, the main objective of this program was to bridge the gap and increase the interaction between public and private hospitals regarding Critical Care management of sick patients.
Nearly 70 enthusiastic students and faculty attended the program. The program consisted of lectures and hands on training on important topics including mechanical ventilation, management of sepsis, management of trauma patient, Basic life support skills.
The program was inaugurated by honorable Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana, Dr Pradeep Kumar Mohindra. Eminent Critical Care Physicians, Dr Vinay Singhal, Dr Kanwalpreet Sodhi and SMO from all the hospitals of Ludhiana district were graced the occasison.
