Four arrested with illegal arms and ammunition
The sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) have nabbed four persons and have recovered 5 illegal pistols (.32 bore), 10 magazines, 20 live rounds from them.
Ferozepur, February 23, 2024: The sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) have nabbed four persons and have recovered 5 illegal pistols (.32 bore), 10 magazines, 20 live rounds from them.
Saumya Mishra SSP said that following the inputs, the sleuths belonging to CIA had laid a “naka” near qile wala chowk on Ferozepur-Fazilka road today. “The accused identified as David Sidhu and his brother Gagan Sidhu both residents of Kunde village in Ferozepur, Anshul Thakur, resident of Daroli Kalan village in Jalandhar district and Dharminder alias Sunny resident of Zirakpur in Mohali, were in touch with each other and they had formed a gang. The accused were coming from Madhya Pradesh on an I-20 car (HO 37 D 9378) while they were nabbed by the CIA sleuths”, said SSP.
The SSP said that during the checking of the car, 5 illegal pistols (.32 bore), 10 magazines, 20 live rounds were recovered which they had brought from MP.
All the accused have been booked under section 25 of Arms Act at Sadar police station.
