Four booked under MMDR Act

Ferozepur , September 14, 2012:  Nobody will be allowed illegal mining of sand by following the directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court. 

Giving this information, Dr.S.Karuna Raju, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur said, four persons namely Satnam Singh, Nachhatar Singh resident of Killi Bodla, Mandar Singh and Harjinder Singh of Mubarkpur have been booked on the complaint of District Mining Officer with police station Makhu under Section 379 IPC and Mines and Minerals Development Regulation Act 1957.  However, they managed to escape but two tractors and two and four canters were taken into possession by the police.  

He further said that the police is making raids at the suspected places to nab the accused.
