Kular Cricket Club wins trophy of cricket tournament along with cash prize of Rs. 21,000

Ludhiana, April 25, 2019: CT University’s Department of Sports organised ‘2nd CT Premier Cricket Tournament’ under- 21 at its Sports Complex where in 16 teams participated from various academies and schools around Ludhiana. The matches were played in two Pools that is Pool A and B.

Under Pool A, the teams that participated were CP cricket Academy, Kular Academy, Bharowal Academy, Kamla Lohtia Cricket Academy, Bharwal Academy, CT Public School Maqsudan, New Star Academy, Ludhiana, whereas, under Pool B, teams namely Sunrise Cricket centre Academy, KCB Academy, Sunrise Cricket Academy, GAD Academy, GNA Phagwara, IPS School, Cricket Club Khosa participated.

After the final match, Kular Cricket Club won with 15 runs and was awarded with cash prize of Rs 21,000/- and Runner up team Cricket Club, Khosa was awarded with Rs 11,000/-.Gurveer Singh from Kular Cricket Club won Best Batsman Award. Sandeep Singh from Cricket Club, Khosa won best Bowler Award and Happy from Kular Cricket Club got ‘Man of The Series’ Award.

Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti while congratulating the winners said, “Such platforms let a student bring out his best and can contribute for nation. The need of the hour is not just intelligent youth but fit as well and sports activities are best for it.”
