FOUR-DAY INDO-PAK trade expo begins

Ludhiana, February 15, 2013: Four day trade expo organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce began here on Friday.

On the occasion, the chief executive of Pak World Trade and Expo Centre, M. Khurshid Barlas, hoped that the expo would prove to be a success this year as compared to the previous year. He told that nearly fifty thousand people had witnessed the trade expo last year. He hoped the number of visitors would surely exceed this time.

Further, Barlas told that many traders from Pakistan who had participated in the expo last year years, had participated in the expo this time too. He revealed that about three dozen stalls in the expo belonged to traders from Pakistan.   

He told that people hailing of Punjab this side were fond of Pakistan made articles.

The expo is witnessing participation of about 125 traders from India and Pakistan.

Pakistani traders are showcasing among others Pakistani Onyx marble, textiles, dry fruits from Kabul, Kashmiri carpets and home appliances.

Traders from both sides strongly believed that the trade expo would ultimately enhance bilateral trade between the two Nations in the future.
