Four schools of Innocent Hearts celebrated Lohri with grandeur

Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt. - Jandiala Road and Royal World celebrated Lohri with great pomp and show.
The students took part in the celebration enthusiastically. The little ones of Innokids from Pre- School to KG II came in traditional dresses.
A special assembly was conducted where importance of this festival was explained to the students. They were told that Lohri is a Harvest Festival of Punjab. Popular dishes of this season were also told like Sarson ka Saag , Makki Ki Roti , Til rewari , Gachak etc. Besides this, folklore related to this festival was also told to explain the reason behind the celebration of this festival.
The children sang ‘Sundar Mundariye’ famous song of lohri. The objective behind these celebrations is to connect the present generation with the culture of the students.
