Four Union Ministers participated in International Yoga Day in HP today
On the International Yoga Day on Tuesday, lakhs of people of Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh participated in different yoga programmes in the state.

Dharamsala, June 21, 2022: On the International Yoga Day on Tuesday, lakhs of people of Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh participated in different yoga programmes in the state.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Urban Development Minister of the state Suresh Bhardwaj attended the yoga program organized at the Ridge Maidan in Shimla , while the other state ministers took part in Yoga programmes organised in their respective districts.
Himachal was lucky that four Union ministers of India too took part in four different historical sites of the state in International Yoga Day today.
Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports and Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur attended Yoga function at Katoch Palace in Sujanpur of Hamirpur district. Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan did yoga at Kangra Fort in Kangra district.
Pankaj Chaudhary, Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance participated at famous Prashar Lake in Mandi district, and Nisith Pramanik Union Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Minister of State, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports participated in the program organized at Rohtang in Kullu district.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was the chief guest at the yoga program organized at Kangra Fort today, said, “ yoga has become international and this time it has been added onto the Amrit Mohotsav of 75 years of independence.”
Minister said, “Even in the times of Covid epidemic, the practice of yoga has given life to the people. India has taken initiative to promote Yoga at international level and on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, initiative has been taken to celebrate International Day of Yoga, which will benefit not only the country but the whole world.”
Various dignitaries including Social Justice Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania, Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami, MP Kishan Kapoor, Zilla Parishad President Ramesh Brar, Central University Vice Chancellor SP Bansal, SDM Naveen Tanwar and others were present on the occasion.
