Ludhiana, June 9, 2013: Bharat Vikas Parishad (Dr. Kitchlu Nagar Branch), Ludhiana organised a `Free Artificial Limb Distribution Camp’ today at BVP Viklang Sahayta Kender, Rishi Nagar, here where artificial limbs, calipers, tricycles, hearing aids etc. were given to 85 physically handicapped persons.
Jeevan Dhawan, Member, Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board was the Chief Guest at the function. He applauded the nice work being done by Bharat Vikas Parishad in rendering selfless services to the needy persons. Such camps inculcate a spirit of self-confidence among the physically challenged persons for becoming self-dependent, he said.
Suraj Jyoti, President of Trust presided over the function. He said that the Trust has provided artificial limbs, calipers, tricycles, wheel chairs and hearing aids to more than 39,000 physically challenged persons so far. He further said that regular camps are also held every month for performing polio operations and we have already performed over 2,000 free Polio pperations successfully.
Anil Bansal, Er. B.K. Bhalla, G.C. Miglani, Neelam Thapar, S. Sud, Dr. J.R. Kaushal, Ravinder Mittal, Dr. D.R.C. Bakhetia, Dr. V.K. Kakkar, Archana Gupta, R.P Gupta and other members of Bharat Vikas Parishad were present on this occasion.
