Free Artificial Limbs Distribution Camp

Ludhiana, April 19, 2015: Bharat Vikas Parishad Dr.Kitchlu Branch in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab organised Free Artificial Limbs Distribution Camp on Sunday at Viklang Sahayta Kender, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana. Artificial Limbs, Calipers, Crutches & Hearing aids were given to 55 physically challenged persons. 

On this occasion, the new office bearers of BVP Dr. Kitchlu Branch namely Er. B.K Bhalla, President; Archana Gupta, Secretary & Er. Bhupinder Singh were administered the oath of office by Dr. D.R.C Bakhetia state convener(Health) BVP Punjab North. Oath was also administered to the newly registered members of BVP Dr. Kitchlu Branch.

Anil Gupta, Managing Director, Auto Tech Pvt. Ltd. was the Chief Guest. He appreciated the efforts of Bharat Vikas Parishad in mitigating the sufferings of Handicapped persons. Surinder Chopra SHO, PAU & Harpreet Kaur were the Guests of honour. They appreciated the works of the Parishad. Prof. Jitendra Prakash(President, Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust) presided over the function. 

Ravinder Mittal, State Convener (SVKJ), BVP Punjab North said that Dr. Kitchlu Branch has been organizing such camps regularly since last couple of years. The Branch has also organized Bal Sanskar Shiver, Sanskriti Pakhwara, Guruvandan Chattar Abhinandan, National Group Song Competition & Bharat Ko Jano Competitions in the past. Aid to needy project is also being taken up for helping poor but deserving students. Er. B.K Bhalla, Branch President proposed the vote of thanks for all present.

Trust President, Prof. Jitendra Prakash said that Trust has organized 1031 camps so far in which artificial limbs, Calipers, Crutches, Tricycle & Hearing aids were provided to more than 43512 physically handicapped persons. The Trust also organized Polio Surgery Camps, in which 2123 polio operations have been done successfully. 

Anil Bansal, V.K Puri, Neelam Thapar, S. Sood, N. Manan, Dr. M.L Sharma, Dr. J.S Kanwar, R.P Gupta & several other members of Bharat Vikas Parishad were also present on this occasion.
