Free vaccination drive organized at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College 

Ludhiana: With the joint efforts of the district health administration and all the institutions running under the aegis of Gujranwala Khalsa Education council- Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Pharmacy and Gujranwala Guru Nanak Public School, a free vaccination drive was organized on April 09, 2021, at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College in order to protect the people from Covid- 19. 
Ms Mamta Ashu, Councillor, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana was the chief guest of the day. 
The event began with the welcome address by Dr. SP Singh, Former Vice-Chancellor, GNDU, Amritsar & President, Gujranwala Khalsa Education Council who said that where all the institutions running under the council are providing the best of the education to its students, there they are also making the students and general public aware of the necessary measurements to fight against the pandemic and this vaccination drive is clear evidence of the same. 
Ms Mamta Ashu, motivated everyone to get themselves vaccinated and make them aware of the various other endeavours initiated by the government. She applauded the efforts of the council and institutions running under it for organizing this vaccination drive at the workplace as it would be convenient for the staff and would also help in reducing the risk of exposure to Covid 19.

On this occasion, Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT and GGNIVS highlighted the importance of this vaccination drive as the health of the faculty members and students is the primary focus of the Gujranwala Khalsa Education Council and all its institutions and they are working tirelessly in this respect. 
A token of honour was also presented to the eminent guest Ms Mamta Ashu by Dr. SP Singh S. Arvinder Singh, S. Hardeep Singh, S. Kuljeet Singh and heads of various institutions- Dr. Arvinder Singh, Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Ms. Gunmeet Kaur and Ms Shikha Sahajpal. In the end, Dr. Arvinder Singh, Principal, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College proposed the vote of thanks. He showed his deepest gratitude to Ms Mamta Ashu, Dr. SP Singh, President GKEC, S. Arvinder Singh, Honorary General Secretary, S. Hardeep Singh, S. Kuljeet Singh, Heads of the various institutions running under the council and the representatives of health administration. He said that as responsible citizens we all must adhere to the instructions given by the health ministry to cease the upsurge of Covid- 19. More than a hundred people above 45 years of age got the benefit of this free vaccination drive.
