French Institutes to have academic collaboration with PU
A French delegation comprising following members from Educational and Cultural Branch of the French embassy, today visited Panjab University -Gregor Trumel, counsellor, French Embassy; Amandine Roggeman, Cultural Attaché at the French Institute in India; Ophelie Belin, Director, Alliance Française Chandigarh, Chandigarh; and Nidhi Chopra, Campus France Manager, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, October 4, 2024: A French delegation comprising following members from Educational and Cultural Branch of the French embassy, today visited Panjab University -Gregor Trumel, counsellor, French Embassy; Amandine Roggeman, Cultural Attaché at the French Institute in India; Ophelie Belin, Director, Alliance Française Chandigarh, Chandigarh; and Nidhi Chopra, Campus France Manager, Chandigarh.
Professor Kewal Krishan, (Dean International Students) welcomed the delegations along with Professor Sanjeev Sharma, (Director, IQAC), Professor Monika Agarwal (Director, UIAMS), Professor Anupama Sharma (Chairperson, UICET), Professor Jaswinder Kumar (Director, UIHMT).
Members discussed the possibility of prospective academic collaboration in the field of dual degree programmes, twinning programs, faculty exchange, and student mobility between Panjab University and French Institutes.
Professor Sanjeev Sharma, Director IQAC gave a presentation about the history of Punjab University, including its faculty strength, MOUs with the foreign universities, courses offered to the students and ranking of the university.
The delegation also visited AC Joshi Library and Gandhi Bhawan; they were fascinated by the architecture and heritage of Panjab University.
French delegates also took an opportunity to announce their upcoming event 'Choose France Tour' happening in Chandigarh on 21st October 2024 at JW Marriott from 12:00-6:00PM . The students will have a unique opportunity for one-on-one meetings with these French Institutes. These individual meetings will allow you to discuss the future educational project in France and scholarships.
The Students will connect with experts from over 50 universities and institutions. France offers 1700 English-Taught programs in STEM, Management , Gastronomy , Fashion , Social, Law , Art , Music , Design, and Architecture among others.
