Ludhiana, August 24, 2024: A hundred new faces, but a million dreams is what the occasion of Freshers Party can be described as at Ramgarhia Girls College when new students received an affectionate welcome by the senior students.
Rajinder Kaur, MD, GS Radiators, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Offg. Principal Prof. Jyoti Verma extended a floral welcome to her. The purpose of the Freshers Party is to form long-lasting relationships among new and old students.
The event demonstrates student unity. Pulsating ambience, and foot-tapping music created the party scene perfectly. The atmosphere grew to a happy peak when performances took place on stage. Students from every course at the college participated enthusiastically in traditional, fusion, and modern dances and breathtaking singing performances, making it a soulful experience.
The highlight of the event was the Ms. Freshers contest, which included multiple rounds, such as an introduction round, a talent round, and a question and answer round. Ishika Khurana of B.A.l was adjudged Ms. Fresher, whereas Ankita Sharma of B.C.A. l and Kannanpreet Kaur of B.Com. l were declared first and second runners up, respectively. Rajinder Kaur crowned the winners and presented them with tokens of appreciation.
Officiating Principal Prof. Jyoti Verma commended the efforts of the participants and said that these types of celebrations help juniors to form bonds and ensure good coordination with seniors. This leads to a better understanding among all, and a feeling of cooperation is fostered. She also appreciated the efforts put in by the incharges, Prof. Tajinder Kaur and Dr. Ajit Kaur, in organizing Talent Hunt.
Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, asserted that such events instill confidence in students and enhance their creativity. The event ended with music and dance, where all the faculty members and students danced to the beats and enjoyed a pure bliss moment.
