Jalandhar, March 8, 2018: A friendly cricket match was played in Lyallpur Khalsa College , between the Teaching and Non-teaching elevens of the college.
The teaching eleven team under the leadership of Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra successfully chased down the target of 110 runs set by the non-teaching eleven playing under the captaincy of Mr.Surinder Kumar Chalotra P.A to Principal.
The players of teaching staff included Prof.Baldev Singh. Prof.Manpreet Singh, Prof.Sandeep Singh, Prof.Dinkar Sharma, Prof.Udeybir Singh Waraich, Prof.Arun Dev Sharma, Prof.Rohit Rana, Prof.Ajit Pal Singh, Prof.Mohan Singh and Prof.Jasvir Madhar whereas the Non Teaching team comprised of Mr.Sandeep, Mr.Rakesh Singh, Mr.Ranjit Singh, Mr.Jaideep Singh, Mr.Inderjit Gill, Mr.Ashish Sharma, Mr. Minal Sharma, Mr. Harjit Singh, Mr. Sunil Chauhan, Mr. Sandeep Kumar.
In the post match ceremony, Dr. Dinkar Sharma was declared man of the match.
Running commentary on the occasion was made by Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand and Prof. Karamjit Kaur while Prof. Gagandeep Singh and Prof. Ahuja Sandeep acted as umpires for the match. Prof. Parteek Arora, Prof. Gurpreet Singh, Mr. Manoj Kumar and Mr. Ramanjit Singh maintained the scoreboard.
The occasion was marked by the presence of teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students of the College.
