Sony SAB’s Wagle Ki Duniya revolves around the bittersweet moments of life and is led by the Wagles, showcasing the endearing bond between the families. The show's simple yet heartwarming representation of family and relationships entertains all, from youth to old. The show continues to be one of the best slice-of-life shows on TV, winning viewer’s hearts with relatable situations and characters.
Interestingly, we learned the Wagle cast not only gets together during lunch for a break from the shoot but shares their food on the set as one big family. Despite their different and difficult shoot schedules, they make it a point to eat together making their real life bond as strong as their connections onscreen. The love and bond the cast shows for each other as they relax and enjoy each other's company over food goes to show that "relationships are not built by blood but are connected from the heart".
As we dive deep into their "family-time", Pariva Pranati who plays Vandana Wagle shares, "All of our cast and crew members are foodies, so, naturally, we bond the best when we are eating! As soon as we are together on the set, we enquire about each other’s tiffin. We also love ordering snacks and meals on the sets, and everyone has a fun time munching and chatting over the treats. The entire cast and crew have now become familiar with everyone’s signature dishes. Whenever something special is cooked at home, we ensure to bring it to the sets the next day for the whole team.
She further went on to share an interesting incident, “Once during a power cut, we all ended up snacking on pakoras at a crew member’s house who lives close to the sets. It was a lot of fun as we gossiped, exchanged stories and played games to pass our time. One can say every day on the Wagle ki Duniya sets turns into Wagle Ki (khati peeti) Duniya!"
