From Shopping Extravaganza to Women Empowerment: CII Chandigarh Fair 2023 Wraps Up on a High Note

Chandigarh, November 6, 2023: The CII Chandigarh Fair 2023, spanning four exciting days, drew to a magnificent close, leaving a trail of vibrant memories and fulfilled shopping lists. This 26th edition of the Fair witnessed an enthusiastic response from Tricity residents who flocked to explore an impressive array of Diwali collections and more.
 
This annual extravaganza attracted more than 85000 visitors (87358 as per the last tally) who enjoyed quality time with family and friends, embracing the festive spirit with joy and enthusiasm. Visitors took full advantage of the attractive discounts and special deals offered by numerous stall owners. Diwali gift items, festive decorations, handloom, accessories, home décor, wall hangings, jewellery, clothing, and delectable food items were among the highlights of this year's Fair.
 
One delighted resident, Ramandeep Kaur, from Mohali, expressed her admiration for the captivating decor items on display this year, echoing the sentiments of many attendees who found the Fair to be a treasure trove of festive offerings.
 
Sharing her experience at this year’s Fair, Rina Verma from Panchkula said, "I had the most incredible time at the CII Chandigarh Fair 2023. The variety of festive decor and Phulkari items was simply outstanding. I was particularly drawn to the exquisite Phulkari suits and dupattas, which showcased the rich tradition and craftsmanship of our country. It's heartwarming to see these women entrepreneurs preserving our cultural heritage."
 
Suresh Kumar from Panchkula, who visited the Fair with his son, shared "As someone passionate about green living, I was thrilled to see the presence of Raj Kumar Nursery, Kaimwala, and their emphasis on indoor plants for a green Diwali. Their message, 'pollution is heavy, but plants are light for the Earth,' really struck a chord with my son – I’m happy he has learnt something. It's inspiring to see businesses promoting eco-friendly Diwali options. The Fair was a perfect blend of traditional crafts, modern decor, and environmentally-conscious choices."
 
The CII Chandigarh Fair 2023 also served as a powerful experiential marketing channel for MSMEs, engaging an active and highly motivated audience in a face-to-face environment. The event was a platform that proudly showcased the work of women entrepreneurs and self-help groups, providing them with a unique opportunity to display their products and connect with a wider audience.
 
This year also welcomed the presence of several first-time brands, adding to the Fair's allure. Renowned names like Hawkins, Ananda Dairy, Bikaji, Aak Plantations from Kerala, HardSoda, Bolti Ramayan, Coirboard, and more were among the newcomers who enriched the Fair's offerings.
 
The CII Chandigarh Fair 2023 celebrated its 26th year by showcasing a diverse range of products that highlighted the craftsmanship of artisans from over 50+ cities across India. With more than 2000+ products on display from over 320 exhibitors, visitors were spoiled for choice, making it a one-stop destination for all their shopping needs. The Fair also hosted 12 concurrent expos, including Home Décor, Realcon (Real Estate), Haute Couture, Persona, Mega Brands, and more.
 
The 27th edition of the fair will be held from 25-28 October 2024.
