From Vir Das to Anubhav Singh Bassi, DeadAnt unveils the winners of DACA 2024 - India’s only comedy accolades
DeadAnt, a media and entertainment company that is at the forefront of Indian comedy today announced the winners of the 4th edition of DeadAnt Comedy Awards, India’s only comedy accolades. Celebrating the zenith of comedic excellence across an array of categories, DACA honoured comedians and content creators who entertained fans throughout 2023. Winners were selected via audience votes across the social media pages of DeadAnt that garnered stellar traction. Alongside the popular choice awards, DACA also features Critics’ Choice Awards and Peer Picks categories, each judged by a special jury.

Standout wins for this edition include Anubhav Singh Bassi in the category of Best Acting Performance and Abhishek Upmanyu in the category of Best Online Comedy Special. Aaditya Kulshreshth (aka Kullu) emerged as the Most Exciting Voice, while Tanmay Bhat was awarded for the Best YouTube Channel. In the Critics Choice section, Kannan Gill dazzled in the category of Best Online Special and Vir Das won the award for ‘Everything Everywhere’. Vir was also declared as the ‘Most Inspiring’ comedian in the Peer Picks category, while Mumbai comedy club The Habitat won the award for Best Venue.
Anubhav Singh Bassi, shared his reaction on winning a DACA award, he mentioned: “Yeh sabhi comedians ke taraf se thank you aapko, mujhe jaise role mila vaise sabhi comedians ko milte rahe toh humari industry bhi aise hi expand hoti rahegi. Love you. Thank you”
Kannan Gill, on winning a DeadAnt Comedy Award, mentioned, “Thank you so much DeadAnt. This is super sweet! I don’t really win anything ever so this is nice.”
Abhishek Upmanyu, who emerged victorious in the category of Best Online Comedy Special, said, “Winning this award takes me back to school. I’m glad to have won in this category. The trophy looks fabulous and the makers of the trophy indeed deserve an award too.”
Aaditya Kulshreshth (Kullu), shared his reaction on being the ‘The Most Exciting Voice, “Thank you so much DeadAnt for this award and to the audiences who voted for me. I’m delighted that I won this award and am speechless.”
