Fulbright Scholarship Outreach Program conducted at PU
An outreach program on Fulbright-Nehru fellowships by United States India Educational Foundation (USIEF), the Fulbright Commission in India, was conducted today at Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, April 2, 2025: An outreach program on Fulbright-Nehru fellowships by United States India Educational Foundation (USIEF), the Fulbright Commission in India, was conducted today at Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh.
As part of the outreach program, Dr. Sudarsan Dash, Senior Program Officer of USIEF, New Delhi, provided a detailed explanation of every aspect of the Fulbright program, including the application process and personal experiences of Fulbrighters. The Fulbright Scholarship is one of the most prestigious international exchange programs, it provides outstanding students and professionals with the opportunity to study, research, and teach in the United States, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and academic excellence.
PU Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Y.P. Verma, was the chief guest on this occasion. Professor Verma encouraged the researchers to apply for this prestigious fellowship.
As many as 100 faculty members, PhD students and the Postdoctoral Fellows attended the program with great enthusiasm and asked a lot of questions. Two faculty members, Dr Rachna and Dr Neetu from PU, Fulbright scholarship holders, enriched the event by sharing the snaps of time spent in USA.
Dean, International Students Professor Kewal Krishan, shared some personal experiences regarding the application process and offered his guidance to interested students.
Such academic programs exemplify the vision of PU Vice Chancellor Professor Renu Vig, who constantly motivates the students to build international academic relations.
