Function organised on Superannuation of Vice-Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur at Lyallpur Khalsa College
The entire staff (teaching and non-teaching) of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, a renowned institution in the field of education, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, gave an impressive farewell party to Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Vice-Principal and Head, PG Department of English on the occasion of her superannuation.
Jalandhar, January 2, 2025: The entire staff (teaching and non-teaching) of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, a renowned institution in the field of education, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, gave an impressive farewell party to Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Vice-Principal and Head, PG Department of English on the occasion of her superannuation.
At the beginning of the event, Prof. Jasreen Kaur and her spouse S. Arvinder Singh were welcomed with bouquets of flowers. Then, Dr. Geetanjli Mahajan presented a PPT consisting information on the life and career of Prof. Jasreen Kaur.
Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh in his address appreciated Prof. Jasreen Kaur and said that she served as Acting Principal, Dean Academic Affairs and Head of Department of English during her 38½ years service in the college. During this period, she also worked diligently on other important positions given by the college from time to time. He added that she is not only a good teacher but also a great human being, who has helped the staff and students in every possible way from time to time.
Staff Secretary Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu said that Prof. Jasreen Kaur's teaching journey has been remarkable. On this occasion, a citation letter to Prof. Jasreen Kaur was read by Dr. Balraj Kaur. Prof. Navdeep Kaur College Registrar, Dr. Charanjit Singh, Dr. Amritpal Singh and Mr. Surinder Kumar Chalotra P.A. also shared their experiences of Prof. Jasreen Kaur and wished her a long, healthy and a happy life.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Jasreen Kaur said that she cannot forget the respect that the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college have given her in her entire service and it is her sincere wish that this college should always make double progress day and night. At this time, all the teaching and non-teaching staff members wished her a better future.
Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu played the role of stage manager for the teaching staff and Mr. Ashwani Kumar played the role of stage manager for the non-teaching staff.
