Future Tycoons Jury Round for Student Category Successfully Held at DBEE Ludhiana
The second session of the Future Tycoons Jury Round for the Student Category was successfully organized today at the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE) office, Pratap Chowk, Ludhiana. A total of 56 student teams comprising 172 students participated in the event and presented their innovative ideas to two jury panels, each comprising three experts – an industry expert, a financial expert, and an academic expert.

Ludhiana, January 31, 2025: The second session of the Future Tycoons Jury Round for the Student Category was successfully organized today at the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE) office, Pratap Chowk, Ludhiana. A total of 56 student teams comprising 172 students participated in the event and presented their innovative ideas to two jury panels, each comprising three experts – an industry expert, a financial expert, and an academic expert.
Future Tycoons is the flagship startup challenge initiated by the District Administration Ludhiana in collaboration with the Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training, Punjab. DBEE Ludhiana serves as the nodal office for this ambitious program, aimed at fostering entrepreneurial spirit among youth.
This year, the challenge received an overwhelming response, with 4,625 registrations from budding entrepreneurs. After a rigorous scrutiny process, 218 participants were shortlisted to attend a comprehensive Startup Workshop held on December 10, 2024, where they received expert guidance to prepare their pitches for the jury rounds.
The first session of the Jury Round was conducted on January 28, 2025, in collaboration with STEP-GNDEC at GNDEC Ludhiana, where participants impressed the jury with their ideas. The jury rounds will continue next week for the remaining teams, with the next session scheduled for February 7, 2025, at the DBEE office, Pratap Chowk.
This initiative highlights the commitment of the District Administration and the Government of Punjab to nurture innovation and support startups, providing a robust platform for young minds to transform their ideas into viable businesses. Jury Panelists were pleasantly amazed at the Ideas and the talent of the Students.
