Gaggal Airport Wins First Prize in Customer Satisfaction Survey 2024
Gaggal Airport in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, has been awarded the First Prize in India for Customer Satisfaction Survey (2024) Awards for domestic airports. The prestigious award was presented by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), recognizing Gaggal Airport’s excellence in passenger experience and service quality. The survey was conducted among over 100 domestic airports across the country.

Dharamshala, April 1, 2025: Gaggal Airport in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, has been awarded the First Prize in India for Customer Satisfaction Survey (2024) Awards for domestic airports. The prestigious award was presented by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), recognizing Gaggal Airport’s excellence in passenger experience and service quality. The survey was conducted among over 100 domestic airports across the country.
The awards were conferred by Vipin Kumar, Chairman, AAI, to Dhirender Singh, Airport Director, Gaggal, on the 30th Annual Day of AAI, held on March 31, 2025, in Delhi. The event was attended by AAI Board Members and the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), highlighting the significance of the achievement.
Top Three Domestic Airports (Customer Satisfaction Survey 2024 Awards):
First Place: Gaggal (Kangra) Airport
Second Place: Rajahmundry Airport
Third Place: Madurai International Airport
Chairman Vipin Kumar expressed his pride in the winners, stating, "These airports have set new benchmarks in passenger experience and service quality, reaffirming AAI’s commitment to excellence." He emphasized that AAI continues to focus on enhancing airport infrastructure, optimizing service efficiency, and elevating the overall travel experience for passengers.
Speaking to this reporter , Dhirender Singh, Airport Director of Gaggal, assured that the airport would continue striving to maintain its top position in customer satisfaction in the coming years. He also shared key developments regarding flight connectivity.
Key Developments at Gaggal Airport: With the summer tourist season approaching, the number of daily flights at Gaggal Airport has increased to approximately 18 flights connecting Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla.
Flights from Dharamsala to Dehradun and Jaipur have been approved by AAI and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
IndiGo Airlines is expected to commence operations on these new routes soon, enhancing connectivity for travelers.
