Ganesh of CT University bags Gold in Taekwondo at Indo-Nepal Int’l League’19
Ludhiana, October 7, 2019: CT University’s School of Physical Education and Humanities student Ganesh bagged first position in Taekwondo, at Indo-Nepal International League- 2019 under the category of ‘Under-54 KG’. Ganesh dusted eight fights and bagged gold for his Nation. Ganesh who is a student of Bachelors in Physical Education said, “Taekwondo increases strength and stamina and also improves confidence and self-esteem. I am a huge fan of this game which turned into my passion. I dedicate this win to my parents and my coach Raj Kumar Sir.” Sharing his experience, he further added that the last round of the final match was really tough, normally there are three rounds in deciding the winner but he had to go through four rounds where a single kick decided the winner. For him, this was his life changing moment. On his success, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor said, “I congratulate Ganesh and his parents for this. At CTU, we ensure to make students overall winners and any kind of sport indeed is beneficial.” Manbir Singh, Managing Director CTU also congratulated and wished him luck for his future.
