Gang of bike lifters busted

Ferozepur: In a major breakthrough, the sleuths belonging Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) have busted a gang of bike lifters and have arrested four persons. While addressing the media persons, Bhupinder Singh SSP said that following the inputs, the CIA staff have recovered 36 two wheelers from the accused Avtar Singh alias Tari, resident of Village Nurpur Sethan, Amarjit Singh alias Doctor, resident of Basti Nanakpura and Gurwinder Singh resident of Village Khaire ke Uthar from an abandoned brickyard near Village Khai Phem ki.
“The accused used to steal vehicles from the various villages and later sell at some other places”, said SSP. “The CIA staff have recovered 33 motor cycles besides three Activa scooties from the accused”, he further added.
A case under sections 379, 411, 413 IPC dated 12.10.2020 has been registered at Sadar police station (FIR No. 207 dated 12.10.2020).
