GANG-RAPE victim operated upon

Jalandhar, February 8, 2013: A 14 year old girl of village Mandala Channa, who was gang raped by three persons of the same village, 10 days before, was admitted to Civil Hospital Jalandhar with excessive bleeding was rushed to Guru Nanak Dave Government Medical Hospital, Amritsar.

The victim  of brutal gang-rape was operated upon at Amritsar Government Hospital for four hours. She is still stated to be critical and battling for life, said the attending doctors.

Doctors said that her uterus had been removed to prevent her from any sort of infection. The intestines were also damaged .The girl was still unstable and kept under the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
