General Observer inspects critical and model polling stations in Dakha
General Observer for Ludhiana parliamentary constituency Divya Mittal, IAS, on Saturday, reviewed the security arrangements and other preparations made for critical and model polling stations in Dakha assembly segment.
Ludhiana, May 18, 2024: General Observer for Ludhiana parliamentary constituency Divya Mittal, IAS, on Saturday, reviewed the security arrangements and other preparations made for critical and model polling stations in Dakha assembly segment.
Accompanied by ARO Dakha-cum-SDM Deepak Bhatia, Assistant Commissioner (UT) Kritika Goyal, the observer went to a polling station of Jangpur village (Government Primary School, Jangpur), as it has been categorized as a 'critical polling station'.
The General Observer inquired about the security arrangements to be made in the critical polling station and other activities carried out to ensure the participation of the voters on polling day (June 1). She also gave necessary directions to the concerned officials to make elaborate security arrangements for such polling stations. She also interacted with the villagers in the polling station and encouraged them to vote on June 1 without any kind of fear and inducement.
Earlier, the General Observer also visited a model polling booth established in Shaheed Col. Harcharan Singh Sekhon Memorial Government Senior Secondary School in Dakha. The school students performed a nukkad natak and Giddha/boliyan in front of the officials and villagers for the awareness of the voters.
The General Observer lauded the district administration and students spreading awareness among the masses.
