Generous contribution by Vardhman for treatment of poor patients at DMCH

Ludhiana: With the intent to making quality healthcare services accessible to the underprivileged section of the society, Vardhman Group has made a financial contribution of INR 25 lac to the Poor Patient Fund of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital. The Group has been annually providing this amount to the hospital for several years in a row.

The cheque was handed over to the hospital management in the august presence of Dr Bishav Mohan (Chief Cardiologist), Mr Rakesh Gupta (General Manager) and Mr Umesh Gupta (Chief Financial Officer) of DMCH. From Vardhman, Mr Neeraj Jain, Joint Managing Director and Mr D K Sindwani, Director remained present at the occasion.  

The management of DMCH acknowledged the humane efforts of Vardhman saying that the organization has been doing appreciable work for social welfare.

Mr Neeraj Jain emphasised the vision of top management of Vardhman Group saying that “By contributing to healthcare institutions like DMCH where people from far and near come for treatment, we are trying to play our part as a responsible corporate citizen in strengthening the healthcare system.” 

Vardhman Group has periodically provided several hospitals in the vicinity of its manufacturing units with advanced medical equipment and funds for research on critical illnesses too. Education and Healthcare are considered the essentials for life and the organization has abundantly supported the same through its CSR initiatives. The sum provided to DMCH at present will be utilized for the treatment of patients belonging to economically weak background who cannot afford the treatment otherwise.
