Ludhiana, April 12, 2019: Under the patronage of Gujranwala Khalsa Education Council, a joint YouTube channel of five educational institutes was launched on April 12, 2019.
The channel “GGN MEDIA” will be operated by the students of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, GGN Institute of Management Technology, GGN Institutes of Vocational studies, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Public School, Gujranwala Guru Nanak College of Pharmacy.
The studio and channel was inaugurated by President of Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council S. Gursharan Singh Narula, Honorary General Secretary of Council and former Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Dr S.P. Singh, other members of council, Principal GGN Khalsa College Dr. Arvinder Singh, Director of GGNIMT and GGNIVS Prof. Manjit Singh Chabrra, Principal Harpreet Singh, Principal of GGN Pharmacy college Dr. Shikha and faculty members of all five institutes.
Dr. S.P. Singh informed that the channel will be a non political platform and telecast programme on education, culture, ethos, religion and social issues.
Principal of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College Dr Arvinder Singh said that the students will produce and direct the programme for YouTube channel. The idea of launching YouTube channel is to impart practical knowledge to students apart from theoretical knowledge.
Principal further said that due to trend of new media technology and social media they have decided to launch YouTube channel of college which will telecast informative, historical and other programmes.
Coordinator of Journalism Department Prof. Sushminderjeet kaur informed that the department of Journalism and Mass Communication will be nodal department for YouTube channel of five institutes.
