GGNIMT nurtures Entrepreneurship at Spring Fest 2025

Ludhiana, February 8, 2025: To instil the entrepreneurial mindset and spirit among the students of Fashion Design, Hotel Management, management, Commerce and Computers, GGN Institute of Management and Technology situated at Ghumar Mandi in association with GGNIVS organised an event Spring Festival 2025 in which students organised their stalls. The stalls included food products prepared by students of hotel management, fashion accessories by students of fashion design and fast moving consumer goods by other students. The students presented dance and music items on the day to make it fully entertaining.

Spring Fest was inaugurated by Dr. SP Singh, President, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council and former vice chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

In this event, GGNIMT students from Departments of Business Management, Hospitality, Computer Applications and Fashion Designing set up stalls to showcase their marketing and creative skills. Students of Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology set up stalls of multiple cuisines ranging from lukhnawi, Chinese, Continental and italian. They tried hands on creative stalls with fun names as The Pav Bhaji Point, Yummy Delights, The Garden of eat n Veg/Non-Veg, Sip n Snacks, Mitran da chatpata bhandaar, 1313 da zaika and Flavor Frenzy. The students of B.Sc Fashion Designing, set up stalls named Panache Club to showcase handmade items like scrunches, coasters along with handmade bags corner. The students of BCA showcased a stall of games named The Challenge Zone.

Winners of the Bazaar- Business Excellence contest were stall The Garden of Eat’n Veg & Non-Veg of course BHMCT bagged first position. Second position was bagged by Panache Club of B.Sc Fashion Designing course. Third position was grabbed 1313 days Zaika from BHMCT.  Participants were judged on the basis of their product portfolio, customer handling, ambience and merchandising.

In order to provide a Fair like ambience multiple cultural contests like Solo Dance, Fun filled sports like races and a Tug of War competition was also organized. The GGNIMT team of BCA 2B bagged first position after undergoing a series of tough rounds. Second prize was bagged by BCA 6 class. Girls were not to be left behind also participated in the event and department of Hotel Management girls won the first prize. From GGNIVS team from BBA 6th Semester won first position.

From GGNIMT, Shrey Sharma and Arushi from MBA 2nd semester were declared as Mr. and Ms. Basant 2024 respectively.

From GGNIVS, Prince from B. com 2nd semester and Gonika from BBA 6th semester were declared Mr. and Ms. Basant respectively.

Dr. S P Singh appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the students and also the efforts of faculty members for organizing this event.

Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT expressed the objective of organizing Spring Fest is to offer an opportunity to learn beyond books, which is a pre requisite for success in the intensely competitive world of today.

Dr. Harpreet Singh, the principal, praised the Entrepreneurship Club's efforts for putting on a strong performance and expressed the hope that Spring Fest would portend their success as future entrepreneurs. In addition to creating personal wealth, he intended that GGNIMT students would establish their enterprises for the good of society.
