GGNIMT Organizes Enthusia 2025 - A Mega Sports Meet
Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT) and Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies(GGNIVS) jointly organized their annual Sports meet- Enthusia-2025 in the sprawling grounds of GGN campus with much fervor and passion.

Ludhiana, March 10, 2025: Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT) and Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies(GGNIVS) jointly organized their annual Sports meet- Enthusia-2025 in the sprawling grounds of GGN campus with much fervor and passion.
The overcast sky failed to dent the enthusiasm of the students and staff as they welcomed the Chief Guest Chetanpreet Kaur Nilon, International Rifle shooter with a loud roar of appreciation.
The celebrations started by hoisting of the Sports Flag.
Dr. S. P Singh, President, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council(GKEC) and Former Vice Chancellor, GNDU declared the meet open and released the mascot of the games into the blue sky. The participants pledged towards maintaining the true spirit of sportsmanship, integrity and fair play during the Sports Meet.
The spectators remained spellbound at their seats as the march past began. Synchronizing their steps to the martial beat, leaders of different department led their contingents in the March past.
About 400 students participated in different Sports events including 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m and relay races, arms wrestling, tug-of-war, shot put, long jump, pushups challenge and different fun races.
As the day unfolded, the spectators witnessed a vibrant blend of sports and cultural activities.. The participants showcased their strength in tug-of-war and mesmerized the audience with their energetic performances in different races.
GGNIMT boys and girls enthralled the spectators with their energetic bhangra performance .
The Chief Guest Chetanpreet Nilon in her key note address emphasized that Annual sports day was a red letter day in each student’s life . She appreciated the participants and applauded the visionary leadership of the college which nurtures and develops their potential in the sports field. She highlighted that the students must spend time outdoors which gives them opportunity to learn from their surroundings and to enrich themselves. She also stressed on the need to maintain a balance between academic and sports activities.
Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director GGNIMT, while addressing the students stated that Enthusia is a platform that intends to inspire the students to imbibe the skills for coping in a competitive environment. He further added that these are important life skills to assimilate in preparation for the working environment. He appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation in the sports day programme. He also thanked the college staff for the meticulous planning and execution of Enthusia-2025.
Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT said that sports help build the character and personality of a person. Apart from boosting self-confidence and bringing discipline, sports play a significant role in enriching the social life of an individual, he added. He urged the students to replace the time spent on television and mobile games with some physical activities.
The other dignitaries present on the occasion were the esteemed members of GKEC including General Secretary Harsharan Singh Narula and S. Sukhbir Singh. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Ravinder Singh Bhalla, Principal GGNKC, Gunmeet Kaur, Principal and Parminder Kaur, Vice Principal, GGN Public School The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony where the winners were acknowledged and participants were encouraged. The eventful day ended with the vote of thanks and National Anthem.
