GGNIMT Organizes Signature Campaign to Raise Awareness on ‘No Use of Mobile Phones While Driving’

Jalandhar, April 7, 2025: Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT) organized a signature campaign aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of using mobile phones while driving. The initiative saw an active participation of nearly 150 students from various courses, including Business Management, Computer Applications, Hotel Management, and Fashion Designing. The public actively participated.

This signature campaign is part of GGNIMT’s ongoing efforts to engage students in community service and social responsibility, aligning with the institution’s vision of fostering a well-rounded and socially conscious student body.
 
The students, holding banners and posters, gathered signatures from passersby at key locations such as Bhai Bala Chownk, Aarti Chownk, and Ghumar Mandi Chownk. The campaign was designed as a step to create awareness on the growing issue of distracted driving due to mobile phone usage, urging the public to take responsibility for road safety.
 
The initiative was led by the faculty members of GGNIMT. The students at Bhai Bala Chownk were coordinated by Professor Bismanjeet Singh, Professor Kanika and  Professor Simran, while the efforts at Aarti Chownk were managed by Professor Priya and Professor Shivani. At Ghumar Mandi Chownk, the students were supported by Professor Shantimani, Professor Rishita, and Professor Sukhpreet Kaur.
 
Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal of GGNIMT, commended the initiative, expressing his appreciation for the commitment shown by both the faculty and students. He emphasized the importance of such campaigns in educating the public and promoting road safety awareness.
 
Professor Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director of GGNIMT, also expressed his support for the campaign, praising the efforts of all involved. He stated, "Such initiatives not only highlight the social responsibility of our students but also contribute significantly to the betterment of society. I am proud of their commitment to spreading such a crucial message."
