GGNIVs Holds Seminar On Career Option And Life Skills

Ludhiana, October 4, 2016: Keeping in mind the pressing need for apt and timely guidance for under graduate students so as to make them aware of the varied choices that they have, GGNIVS held a seminar where two of the city’s experts had an interactive section with students. After customary bouquet presentation, the college Director, S.Manjit Singh Chhabra briefed the students about the college commitment to turn its students in to zero defect personalities. He talked about the need for timely planning so that students can move in right direction after graduation. He shared that in foreign countries planning is done before hand.
The session began with Pankaj Gaba, an IAS trainer, Vivekananda Academy, initiating a talk with students by probing them about their future plans after graduation. He let the students have a glimpse into a wide range of careers, where a degree in commerce comes handy. Accountant, tax consultants, H.R., Bankers, Auditor, Stock broker, Lecturer, Export-Import Managers, Finance consultant, C.A., C.S. were some of the career options talked about. He answered some of the queries that the students made. Sushil kumar Arora, corporate and life skill trainer, through an informal conversations, shed light on the prerequisites to accomplish the dreams that the students cherish. He invited students to come up with questions which were answered to their complete satisfaction. Some of the valuable hints given by him were:
Avoid procrastination, Wake up early, Ask, Ask, Ask, Dedication, Dedication, Dedication, Give 300%, Start Small, Start Early, Fail, Fail, Fail.
Overall the session was informative, inspirational and refreshing as well. Professor Manpreet Kaur thanked the two speakers of the day and as well as the students for being participative.
