GGNIVS students visit Anandpur Sahib and Naina Devi

GGNIVS, Ludhiana organising educational tript for its students.

Ludhiana, October 1, 2014: One day trip was organised by the staff members of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies (GGN Campus) to Ananadpur Sahib and Naina Devi. 40 students pursuing graduate and post graduate courses in IT and Management accompanied by 4 faculty members visited Anandpur Sahib and Naina Devi.
The trip was meticulously enjoyed by the students, who had a great time paying reverence to Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sri Bhora Sahib and Naina Devi.
On their way to Naina Devi, the students chanted together in celebration with joy. The temple of Naina Devi is situated on the top of the triangular hill commanding an unparallel view of the holy Anandpur Sahib Gurudwara on the one side and Gobindsagar on the other.
The students had to cover a distance of above 2 km on foot to reach the temple. It took them an hour to reach the temple from the foothill. The temple stands on the very summit of the hill above a small bazaar. The view from the top of the hill was a pleasure in the ambience of the sequester spot.
The institute coordinator, Manjit Singh Chhabra said “These destinations are ideal for people who want to explore nature and are looking for peace. Such trips make the students more disciplined and autonomous and they learn to cooperate with their colleagues. These trips also encourage a feeling of team spirit among the students and break classroom monotony”.
