THOUSANDS OF UNEMPLOYED YOUTH TO GET EMPLOYMENT: DEPUTY COMMISSIONER

Ludhiana, January 30, 2019: With an aim to provide employment to the unemployed youth of the state, the Punjab government had started Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana, which is showing positive results. Under this scheme, Sub-Division level Job Fairs would be organised in district Ludhiana from February 13 onwards.

While chairing a meeting in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal informed that these Job Fairs would be organised from February 13-22, 2019 and the district administration aims to provide employment to thousands of unemployed youth through these job fairs.

Mr Agrawal informed that the first job fair would be organised at Government ITI, Gill Road, here, on February 13, another job fair at Swami Ganga Giri College, Gondwal near Raikot on February 16, and the same day, i.e. February 16, another Job Fair would be organised at Government ITI Girls in Samrala. On February 17, two Job Fairs would be organised at Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Jagraon and at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Payal, while on February 22, two Job Fairs would be organised at Gulzar Group of Institutes Khanna and at Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana.

While issuing necessary directions to the staff, the Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officials to ensure maximum participation of unemployed youth during these job fairs so that they can be benefitted from them. He informed that apart from Ludhiana based companies, representatives from other companies of the state would also participate during these job fairs.

He said that efforts are being made to ensure that thousands of unemployed youth get employment during these job fairs. He also appealed to the unemployed youth to attend these job fairs in large numbers.

This meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Dr Shena Aggarwal, ADC Jagraon Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta, all SDM’s, besides senior officials from concerned government departments.
