GHSC-10 Celebrates Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign with Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam

Chandigarh, August 11, 2024: NSS Wing of Government Home Science College in collaboration with Horticulture Wing, Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration participated in the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" , One Tree at a Time, a Tree Plantation Drive to mark the celebrations of upcoming Independence Day. 

Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal and NSS Volunteers along with officials of Horticulture Department, Chandigarh came together inside the college campus to plant trees so as to contribute towards a greener and healthier planet. During the later part of the day, NSS Volunteers took Har Ghar Tiranga pledge so as to commit themselves to the values of our national flag. 

Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal emphasised the significance of such campaigns and encouraged everyone to make their contribution in celebrating these national campaigns with great zeal and enthusiasm. She further highlighted that such campaigns reflect our commitment to environmental sustainability and honours the nurturing spirit of motherhood accompanied by feelings of patriotism.
