Chandigarh, February 11, 2025: Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, hosted a grand Alumni Meet and Golden Jubilee Celebrations to honor the 1975 batch, marking 50 glorious years of their association with the institution. The event aimed to reconnect alumni, celebrate their achievements, and strengthen their lifelong bond with the college.
The celebrations began with a warm welcome and Tilak ceremony led by the esteemed Principal, Prof. Sudha Katyal. Alumni from various batches came together to share cherished memories, reflect on their professional journeys and acknowledge the institution’s role in shaping their success. The Batch of 1975, in particular, reminisced about their time on campus and in the hostel, reliving old friendships and expressing heartfelt gratitude towards their mentors.
In her address, Prof. Sudha Katyal highlighted the college’s key achievements and advancements, including state-of-the-art laboratories and an incubation center, which alumni are welcome to utilize for skill development and entrepreneurial ventures. She emphasized that alumni are the pride and strength of the institution and their continued engagement helps foster a dynamic and thriving academic environment.
